My wife and I had recently purchased a condo in Honolulu, HI. After what the News had called, “the hottest summer in history”, we decided that we really needed an A/C, and according to everyone we knew, a split unit A/C was the way to go if we wanted something quiet and comfortable for our first ever living room. I did some searching online, and my wife had made some calls. After multiple quotes, and a ton of research, we found that most of the recommended split unit A/C’s would cost a bit more than what we could afford. Knowing this, we began to lose hope that we would be able to find something that would fit our budget. In comes Bert. Bert found me online on a Hawaii-centered forum where I had been doing some of my research. He was extremely helpful, and answered all of my questions. In the end, he put down his information and said I should give him a call. Now, this being a forum, I was a bit hesitant, but we made the call and next thing we knew, Bert had flown from the Big Island down to Oahu. He showed up at our place and checked it out, no charge to us. Bert looked at everything. He looked at our lanai, he looked at our setup and where we wanted to install our A/C. Bert even checked our electrical box to ensure that we could support the 220v requirement of the A/C. He also explained everything down to the dot. He was professional, and courteous, and we couldn’t have asked for more. Following the inspection, Bert gave us a call to let us know that he was able to find us an A/C unit that would fill our requirements, and help to meet our budget. Out of all the companies that had quoted us, Bert was the only one that really seemed to want to work around our budget. He sent us a quote, and we sent him our initial deposit. A few weeks later, he and Steve showed up with their equipment, and the A/C. This was during a time where many companies were backed up in doing installs or repairs due to the extreme heat. Somehow, Bert and Steve were able to make the time to do the install in-between jobs. They installed the unit, and while doing so were courteous enough to explain what they were doing and how it all worked. They were very clean, and very easy to talk to. After they were done they cleaned up everything, made sure we were set, and made their leave. We now have a fully-functional A/C and are planning on purchasing some cozy blankets for our former “sauna living room.” TL;DR – I highly recommend CSAC for any sort of A/C install. They are knowledgeable, professional, and pretty interesting to talk to. If you hire them, you can expect a great job and extreme comfort in your home. These guys can do it all — literally!

I had not done a service on my Fujitsu Mini split in almost two years. I called Comfort Solutions and had questions concerning maintenance and Steve talked with me for 15 minutes while on vacation on the mainland. Shortly, Bert came out to explain exactly what would be accomplished during the maintenance. I was encouraged to watch, ask questions and learn the process. Bert cleaned the two outside compressors and then cleaned each of the 5 units in my home. Bert was professional and extremely knowledgable. I have not been more impressed by any contractor who has done work on my home since moving to the Big Island. I now know what to look for and can do most monthly cleaning on my own and will call when more extensive cleaning is needed. Absolutely blown away by the great service. Mahalo Bert!

Comfort Solutions just replaced my old air conditioner this week with a new Rheem unit in my clinic. Bert and his crew were fast, efficient, friendly and professional.
